IRAK2 encodes the interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 2, one of two putative serine/threonine kinases that become associated with the interleukin-1 receptor (IL1R) upon stimulation. IRAK2 is reported to participate in the IL1-induced upregulation of NF-kappaB.

Western blotting analysis using IRAK2 antibody . IRAK2 expression in wild type (WT) and IRAK2 shRNA knockdown (KD) HeLa cells with 20 μg of total cell lysates. Hsp90 α serves as a loading control. The blot was incubated with IRAK2 antibody and HRP-conjugated goat anti-mouse secondary antibody respectively. Image was developed using FeQ™ ECL Substrate Kit .
