Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase is a pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzyme which exists in cytoplasmic and mitochondrial forms, GOT1 and GOT2, respectively. GOT plays a role in amino acid metabolism and the urea and tricarboxylic acid cycles. The two enzymes are homodimeric and show close homology.

Western blotting analysis using GOT1 antibody . Total cell lysates (30 μg) from various cell lines were loaded and separated by SDS-PAGE. The blot was incubated with GOT1 antibody and HRP-conjugated goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody respectively. Image was developed using NaQ™ ECL Substrate Kit .

Western blotting analysis using GOT1 antibody (Cat #64953). GOT1 expression in wild-type (WT) and GOT1 shRNA knockdown (KD) HeLa cells with 20 μg of total cell lysates. Hsp90 α serves as a loading control. The blot was incubated with GOT1 antibody (Cat #64953, 1:2,500) and HRP-conjugated goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody (Cat #201, 1:20,000) respectively. Image was developed using FeQ™ ECL Substrate Kit (Cat #226).
