ADP-ribosylation factors (ARFs) play an important role in intracellular vesicular trafficking. The protein encoded by this gene is involved in the activation of ARFs by accelerating replacement of bound GDP with GTP and is involved in Golgi transport. It contains a Sec7 domain, which may be responsible for its guanine-nucleotide exchange activity and also brefeldin A inhibition.

Flow cytometric analysis of ARFGEF2 expression in HepG2 cells using ARFGEF2 antibody . Green, isotype control; red, ARFGEF2.

Immunocytochemical staining of HepG2 cells with ARFGEF2 antibody . Nuclei were stained blue with DAPI; ARFGEF2 was stained magenta with Alexa Fluor® 647. Images were taken using Leica stellaris 5. Protein abundance based on laser Intensity and smart gain: Medium. Scale bar, 20 μm.

Western blotting analysis using ARFGEF2 antibody . Total cell lysates (30 μg) from various cell lines were loaded and separated by SDS-PAGE. The blot was incubated with ARFGEF2 antibody and HRP-conjugated goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody respectively. Image was developed using NaQ™ ECL Substrate Kit .

Western blotting analysis using ARFGEF2 antibody . ARFGEF2 expression in wild-type (WT) and ARFGEF2 knockout (KO) HSHC cells with 20 μg of total cell lysates. Hsp90 α serves as a loading control.
