The globular WW domain is composed of 38 to 40 semiconserved amino acids shared by proteins of diverse functions including structural, regulatory, and signaling proteins. The domain is involved in mediating protein-protein interactions through the binding of polyproline ligands. This gene encodes a WW domain binding protein that is a transcriptional coactivator of estrogen receptor alpha and progesterone receptor. Defects in this gene have been associated with hearing impairment.

Flow cytometric analysis of WBP2 expression in HepG2 cells using WBP2 antibody . Green, isotype control; red, WBP2.

Western blotting analysis using WBP2 antibody . WBP2 expression in wild-type (WT) and WBP2 shRNA knockdown (KD) HeLa cells with 20 μg of total cell lysates. Hsp90 α serves as a loading control. The blot was incubated with WBP2 antibody and HRP-conjugated goat anti-mouse secondary antibody respectively. Image was developed using NaQ™ ECL Substrate Kit .

Western blotting analysis using WBP2 antibody . Total cell lysates (30 μg) from various cell lines were loaded and separated by SDS-PAGE. The blot was incubated with WBP2 antibody and HRP-conjugated goat anti-mouse secondary antibody respectively. Image was developed using FeQ™ ECL Substrate Kit .
