This gene is the putative transforming gene of avian sarcoma virus 17. It encodes a protein which is highly similar to the viral protein, and which interacts directly with specific target DNA sequences to regulate gene expression. This gene is intronless and is mapped to 1p32-p31, a chromosomal region involved in both translocations and deletions in human malignancies.

Flow cytometric analysis of c-Jun expression in HT-1080 cells using c-Jun antibody . Green, isotype control; red, c-Jun.

Immunocytochemical staining of HT-1080 cells with C-Jun antibody . Nuclei were stained blue with DAPI; C-Jun was stained magenta with Alexa Fluor® 647. Images were taken using Leica stellaris 5. Protein abundance based on laser Intensity and smart gain: Medium. Scale bar, 20 μm.

Western blotting analysis using c-Jun antibody . Total cell lysates (30 μg) from various cell lines were loaded and separated by SDS-PAGE. The blot was incubated with c-Jun antibody and HRP-conjugated goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody respectively. Image was developed using FeQ™ ECL Substrate Kit .

Western blotting analysis using c-Jun antibody . C-Jun expression in wild-type (WT) and JUN shRNA knockdown (KD) C2C12 cells with 20 μg of total cell lysates. Hsp90 α serves as a loading control.
