Signal peptidase complex catalytic subunit SEC11A, also known as Endopeptidase SP18, is encoded by the SEC11A gene in human. It is a component of the microsomal signal peptidase complex which removes signal peptides from nascent proteins as they are translocated into the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum.
