MST4 (also known as STK26) is a member of the Ste20-like kinase family and belongs to the GCK-IV subfamily. It plays a key role in regulating cell polarity, migration, proliferation, and stress response. Its functions partially overlap with those of the Hippo pathway, but it has unique substrates and regulatory mechanisms.
