Abstract
During the acute phase of stroke, excitotoxicity‐induced high intracellular calcium levels trigger neuronal damage, with calcineurin playing a key role in the peri‐infarct region. Continuous transcranial magnetic stimulation (cTBS) reduces calcineurin expression, activates the AKT/FOXO1 pathway, and decreases FOXO1 binding at the FasL promoter, mitigating extrinsic apoptosis and offering a novel strategy for neuroprotection after stroke.
