Sulfadoxine-d3是磺胺多辛(Sulfadoxine)的氘代衍生物。磺胺多辛属于磺胺类化合物，常与乙胺嘧啶(Pyrimethamine)联用，用于防治耐多药恶性疟原虫和间日疟原虫感染。与乙胺嘧啶不同，磺胺多辛对HIV病毒的复制及MT-2细胞的周期进程无影响。此外，该化合物对呼吸道与泌尿道感染也具有抑制活性。
