Abstract
Infundibulicybe subalpina is a new species described from the Western Sichuan Plateau, Southwestern China, supported by both morphological and phylogenetic evidence. The phylogenetic analyses based on internal transcribed spacer (ITS) sequences and five-gene dataset demonstrate that I. subalpina forms an independent clade, and is closely related to I. ellipsospora and I. jilongensis. Infundibulicybe subalpina is characterized by a yellow-brown pileus and stipe, white decurrent lamellae, ellipsoid to elongate basidiospores, and abundant grainy epiparietal pigment in its pileipellis. In addition, a key to the species of Infundibulicybe in China is provided.
