This gene encodes a member of the tetratrico peptide repeat (TPR) family. The encoded protein is involved in cilium biogenesis. Mutations of a similar gene in mouse can cause polycystic kidney disease. Several transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene.

Flow cytometric analysis of Intraflagellar transport 88 expression in HeLa cells using Intraflagellar transport 88 antibody . Green, isotype control; red, Intraflagellar transport 88.

Western blotting analysis using Intraflagellar transport 88 antibody . Total cell lysates (30 μg) from various cell lines were loaded and separated by SDS-PAGE. The blot was incubated with Intraflagellar transport 88 antibody and HRP-conjugated goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody respectively. Image was developed using FeQ™ ECL Substrate Kit .
