The protein encoded by this gene is a transferase, which catalyzes conversion of hypoxanthine to inosine monophosphate and guanine to guanosine monophosphate via transfer of the 5-phosphoribosyl group from 5-phosphoribosyl 1-pyrophosphate. This enzyme plays a central role in the generation of purine nucleotides through the purine salvage pathway. Mutations in this gene result in Lesch-Nyhan syndrome or gout.

Validation of Pancreatic proteinase 1 knockdown using flow cytometry. Wild-type(WT, Blue) and knockdown(KD, Green) HeLa cells were stained with Pancreatic proteinase 1 antibody and analyzed using BD flow cytometer.

Flow cytometric analysis of pancreatic proteinase 1 expression in HepG2 cells using pancreatic proteinase 1 antibody . Green, isotype control; red, pancreatic proteinase 1.

Western blotting analysis using pancreatic proteinase 1 antibody . Total cell lysates (30 μg) from various cell lines were loaded and separated by SDS-PAGE. The blot was incubated with pancreatic proteinase 1 antibody and HRP-conjugated goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody respectively. Image was developed using NaQ™ ECL Substrate Kit .

Western blotting analysis using pancreatic proteinase 1 antibody . Pancreatic proteinase 1 expression in wild-type (WT) and pancreatic proteinase 1 (HPRT1) shRNA knockdown (KD) HeLa cells with 20 μg of total cell lysates. Hsp90 α serves as a loading control.
